Photography

In addition to my research, I enjoy photographing wildlife and scenery. This is done primarily to further my lifelong personal interest in natural history. I utilize my photographs throughout this website.

My photographs have been used for educational or promotional purposes by several organizations (e.g. Students on Ice, Royal Ontario Museum, NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Royal BC Museum), have been featured in a university textbook (Cornell Lab of Ornithology Handbook of Bird Biology, 3rd Edition), are featured in multiple museum exhibitions (e.g. three exhibits at the Field Museum, exhibit at the Royal British Columbia Museum), have appeared on the cover of peer-reviewed journals (e.g. Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences [right]), and have won awards in photography contests (below right).

If you wish to use any of my photos, please contact me and I'd be happy to discuss it.

I primarily host my photos with Flickr:
